Faith Shared presents a dialogue with Filippo Rossi, a well-known master in the field of sacred imagery, as well as 31 images of his work. Born in 1970 and exhibiting since 1994, Rossi has been exploring the themes of Christian sacred art for over 20 years. In Faith Shared, he answers questions about art, creativity, faith and inspiration posed to him by Timothy Verdon, a friend and colleague, as well as Director of the Florence Duomo Museum and Academic Director of the Mount Tabor Ecumenical Centre for Art and Spirituality.
Born in 1970 and exhibiting since 1994, Filippo Rossi has been exploring the themes of Christian sacred art for over 20 years. Visiting Professor at the Stanford University Center for Overseas Studies in Florence, he also collaborates with art historian Monsignor Timothy Verdon, of the Archdiocese of Florence, as Coordinator of the Diocesan Office of Sacred Art and Church Cultural Heritage. Works by Rossi are conserved in museums and collections both in Italy and abroad, and in 2009 he was the youngest of the artists invited by Pope Benedict XVI to an audience in the Sistine Chapel. He has taught and run training workshops in Italy and the United States, and his most recent solo shows have been in Italy, France, Morocco, China, and the United States.
