Urbs Syon Unica

Urbs Syon Unica, from Part II of Parker's magnum opus, "Hora Novissima", (1893) is a skillfully crafted motet for unaccompanied four-part chorus. Contemporary critics compared Parker's craftmanship to that of the Renaissance masters. This work is especially suitable for concert and will also work well as a Lenten anthem.A recording of this work is available on Gloriae Dei Cantores 010 "Music of the Americas, 1492-1992".
