Product Reviews for Hymn Series, Volume I

More familiar tunes from a composer and performer highly respected in America. The opening "Fantasy on Nun Danket All" is a bold essay on the tune.....I thought "Ritournello on Liebster Jesu" was the best of them, but all are good.

The setting of "Nun danket" is a fantasy with brilliant effects which would be a nice piece for a festive service. The setting of "Schonster Jesu" places the melody in the pedal with a four-foot flute and lush harmonies using strings on the manuals. Overall, the music is interesting, and the registrations will work on many instruments.
