One of America's most distinguished church musicians, Austin Lovelace has enjoyed a long career as conductor, organist, clinician, and composer. Dr. Lovelace has composed over 700 compositions in many genres and has established himself as a composer of great sensitivity to text and choir alike.
He has directed church music programs in many parts of the country as well as given workshops in almost every state. He has written numerous articles for such magazines as "The Diapason", "The Hymn", "Choristers Guild Letters", "Journal of Church music", and "The American Organist".
Dr. Lovelace has also held positions within the "American Guild of Organists", "The Hymn Society of America", and the "National Fellowship of Methodist Musicians" among others. Dr. Lovelace earned his Doctor of Sacred Music degree from Union Theological Seminary.
