| Adult. Two videos address death, dying, and grief with the first title, At Death's Door, helping caregivers and others "face the process of a loved one dying from a terminal illness." In segments titled "emotions and coping methods," "anticipatory grief," and "caring for yourself," various family members relate personal experiences about loved ones dying, while grief therapists, clergy, professors, authors, medical personnel, and other professionals discuss grief and guilt and other pertinent feelings and concerns. The similarly structured Beyond Death's Door features spouses, parents, and children of those who have died through accidents, murder, and terminal illness reflecting on the grieving and bereavement process with selected experts from the first title commenting here as well. Occasional poetry readings set against modern footage add another dimension to the coverage that is more supportive than instructive. |
