Andrew Walker, born in 1955 in England, received his musical education at Portsmouth Grammar School, as a member of the Portsmouth Cathedral Choir, and at the University of London. He emigrated to the United States in 1977, assuming the position of Director of Music of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Orlando, in 1980.
He is well-known as a composer of sacred choral music on a national and international level. He has directed choir camps and workshops throughout the SouthEastern United States, and has been a part of the musical staff for the Royal School of Church Music courses. Since 1996, he has been the Director of the Bach Festival of Central Florida in Lakeland.
